YRT650 Rotary Table Bearing for Precision Rotary Support
The LYDL
YRT650 rotary table bearing combines a
650 mm bore, 870 mm outside diameter and 122 mm height. Two axial roller rows support axial forces in opposite directions, while a radial roller row provides radial support. Together, the arrangement carries combined loads and tilting moments.
Within the
YRT rotary table bearing range, YRT650 adds 70 mm of bore and 32 mm of height compared with YRT580. Its 680/830 mm fixing-hole pitch circles, Ø14 mm holes and 34 mm outer-ring width require a new mounting review.
YRT series construction reference. YRT650 nominal dimensions: 650 × 870 × 122 mm.Dimensions and Mounting Interfaces
The reference column follows
INA/Schaeffler YRTC650-XL in TPI 120. LYDL values come from its published YRT650 series row. The inner-ring fixing-hole count differs and remains separately identified.
| Dimension | YRTC650-XL reference | LYDL YRT650 listing |
|---|
| Bore, d | 650 mm | 650 mm |
| Outside diameter, D | 870 mm | 870 mm |
| Overall height, H | 122 mm | 122 mm |
| Mounting heights, H1 / H2 | 78 / 44 mm | 78 / 44 mm |
| Outer-ring width, C | 34 mm | 34 mm |
| Inner-ring profile diameter | D1 max. = 800 mm | d1 = 800 mm |
| Inner fixing-hole pitch circle | J = 680 mm | dn = 680 mm |
| Outer fixing-hole pitch circle | J1 = 830 mm | dm = 830 mm |
| Inner-ring fixing holes | 46 × Ø14 mm | 45 × Ø14 mm |
| Counterbore diameter | d2 = 20 mm | ds = 20 mm |
| Counterbore depth | a = 13 mm | Ts = 13 mm |
| Outer-ring fixing holes | 42 × Ø14 mm | 42 × Ø14 mm |
Hole-count difference: The LYDL listing gives 45 inner fixing holes; Schaeffler specifies 46. This is not resolved by matching the bore, outside diameter and height. Use the complete approved hole map for the supplied configuration before machining or approving a replacement.
LYDL lists P5, P4 and P2 accuracy options, grease lubrication, and GCr15, GCr15SiMn or 100Cr6 bearing steel. Specify the selected material and numerical tolerances; the steel grades are not automatically interchangeable.
INA/Schaeffler YRTC650-XL Performance Reference
These figures belong to
YRTC650-XL in TPI 120. LYDL can review custom requirements using this reference, with accepted performance and inspection requirements recorded in the technical agreement.
| Reference parameter | YRTC650-XL — TPI 120 |
|---|
| Basic dynamic axial load rating, Ca | 910 kN |
| Basic static axial load rating, C0a | 6,800 kN |
| Basic dynamic radial load rating, Cr | 455 kN |
| Basic static radial load rating, C0r | 1,300 kN |
| Continuous-operation limiting speed | 70 rpm |
| Swivel-operation limiting speed | 170 rpm; cycle-specific assessment required |
| Frictional torque guide value, MR | 70 N·m at 5 rpm |
| Mass | 170 kg |
| Standard fitted axial / radial runout | 10 / 10 µm with ideal adjacent construction |
The catalog’s continuous-speed test conditions include prescribed grease distribution, rigid screw mounting and no external application load. The separate swivel value is not a continuous-running permission. Actual selection also requires load, duty-cycle and thermal assessment.
Static ratings do not directly specify allowable workpiece weight. The friction guide value excludes the complete drive system’s acceleration and external torque requirements. LYDL-specific ratings, stiffness, mass, preload and permissible operating limits must be established for the offered configuration.
Mass difference: Schaeffler’s online YRTC650-XL data report 165 kg, while TPI 120 reports 170 kg. These are separate brand source values, not LYDL supply weights.
Temperature difference: Schaeffler’s online range is −30°C to +120°C; TPI 120 states −30°C to +100°C. LYDL’s series page states −20°C to +120°C. Define the supplied bearing’s operating range with its materials, grease and construction.

Application Areas
Consider YRT650 where the machine can accommodate an 870 mm bearing outside diameter and 122 mm installation height:
- CNC rotary workholding: combined fixture, workpiece and machining loads.
- Swivel positioning: changing force directions across the working-angle range.
- Indexing fixtures: repeated movements with defined acceleration and settling time.
- Rotary inspection: measurement platforms with specified running accuracy and deflection.
Assess the supporting structure together with the bearing. A wide fixture can produce a significant tilting moment even when its axial load appears modest, so include the load application points and the mounting section.

| Model | Bore × OD × height | Layout consideration |
|---|
| YRT580 rotary table bearing | 580 × 750 × 90 mm | 70 mm smaller bore and 32 mm less height |
| YRT650 | 650 × 870 × 122 mm | 650 mm bore within a 122 mm axial envelope |
| YRT850 rotary table bearing | 850 × 1095 × 124 mm | 200 mm more bore but only 2 mm more height |
The YRT650-to-YRT850 change is mainly a substantial increase in diameter, despite similar overall heights. Choose the installation envelope first, then compare configuration-specific ratings, stiffness and mounting details.
YRTS650, Angular Measurement and ZKLDF Options
| Option | Function | Status for a 650 mm project |
|---|
| LYDL YRT650 | Axial/radial roller support | Published dimensions; inner-hole count needs resolution |
| Schaeffler YRTS650-XL | Higher-speed roller-bearing design | TPI 120 lists 650 × 870 × 122 mm |
| YRTM family | Bearing system with angular measurement | A LYDL 650 mm system requires a specific proposal |
| ZKLDF family | Double-direction angular contact ball support | No Schaeffler ZKLDF650 verified in the reviewed catalog |
TPI 120 lists YRTS650-XL at 300 rpm under catalog limiting-speed conditions. Matching boundary dimensions supports comparison, but does not establish interchangeability or LYDL performance.
LYDL’s reviewed typical-model lists and detailed tables do not identify YRTS650 or YRTM650. Their absence does not prove that a suitable configuration cannot be supplied. Request an actual proposal with mounting dimensions, operating limits and, where applicable, encoder specifications.
The reviewed Schaeffler ZKLDF tables extend through ZKLDF460. A ball-bearing solution for the YRT650 envelope needs independently verified dimensions and ratings. Any substitution must address mounting interfaces, stiffness, preload, lubrication, sealing and the complete operating cycle.
Accuracy, Assembly and Delivery
Specify numerical runout limits alongside P5, P4 or P2. In Schaeffler’s reference designations,
XL means X-life,
VSP concerns preload for an axially supported L-section ring, and
PRL50 denotes restricted runout. TPI 120 requires consultation for restricted versions above 460 mm bore.
Fixing holes, retaining screws, extraction threads and lubrication passages serve different functions. The reference YRTC650-XL includes six M12 extraction threads; these do not define the fixing-screw specification. Use approved assembly instructions for fastener selection, tightening and ring support.
Inspection scope may cover dimensions, hole geometry, runout and rotational resistance. Agree measurement conditions and report requirements before production. Bearing runout and whole-axis angular positioning accuracy must be specified separately.
For wooden-case packing, lay the bearing flat with rust-preventive wrapping, cushioning and suitable blocking. Tape secures the protective wrap; structural restraint prevents movement inside the case. Final packing, handling arrangements and labels follow the agreed shipment configuration.

Can the 45-hole LYDL version be converted to the 46-hole reference by drilling one extra hole?
Do not assume this. The location of the differing feature, its relation to raceways and the complete ring design must be checked first. Resolve the 45/46-hole difference through the approved manufacturing drawing; a published count alone is insufficient to authorize machining.
Can YRT850 use the same mounting because it is only 2 mm taller?
No. YRT850 increases the bore from 650 to 850 mm and outside diameter from 870 to 1095 mm. Its supporting structure and fixing layout must suit those dimensions. The 2 mm height difference describes axial space, not an interchangeable mounting interface.
Does a nominal 650 mm bore guarantee a clearance fit on a 650 mm shaft?
No. TPI 120 specifies a mean-bore deviation of 0/−0.038 mm for reference YRTC650-XL, giving 649.962–650.000 mm. Fit selection also depends on shaft tolerances, temperature and preload effects. Use the agreed LYDL bore tolerance and mating-shaft specification for the actual assembly.
What should be checked when a spare bearing is unpacked after storage?
Check packaging integrity, identification and visible signs of moisture or corrosion before installation. Follow the agreed cleaning and lubrication procedure, then inspect against the purchase specification. Assess both storage history and bearing condition.
