YRT580 Rotary Table Bearing for Rotary and Swivel Assemblies
The LYDL
YRT580 rotary table bearing has a
580 × 750 × 90 mm installation envelope. Two axial roller rows support axial forces in opposite directions, while a radial roller row provides radial support. The combined arrangement also supports tilting moments.
Within the
YRT rotary table bearing range, YRT580 increases the bore by 120 mm and height by 20 mm compared with YRT460. Its outer-ring fixing-hole count changes from 45 to 42, and its fixing-hole diameter increases to Ø11.4 mm.
YRT series construction reference. YRT580 nominal dimensions: 580 × 750 × 90 mm.Dimensions: Schaeffler Reference and LYDL Listing
The reference column follows
INA/Schaeffler YRTC580-XL in TPI 120; the LYDL column follows the published YRT580 series table. These source values are shown separately where they differ.
| Dimension | YRTC580-XL reference | LYDL YRT580 listing |
|---|
| Bore, d | 580 mm | 580 mm |
| Outside diameter, D | 750 mm | 750 mm |
| Overall height, H | 90 mm | 90 mm |
| Mounting heights, H1 / H2 | 60 / 30 mm | 60 / 30 mm |
| Outer-ring width, C | 30 mm | 30 mm |
| Inner-ring profile diameter | D1 max. = 700 mm | d1 = 700 mm |
| Inner fixing-hole pitch circle | J = 610 mm | dn = 610 mm |
| Outer fixing-hole pitch circle | J1 = 720 mm | dm = 720 mm |
| Inner-ring fixing holes | 46 × Ø11.4 mm | 46 × Ø11.4 mm |
| Counterbore diameter | d2 = 18 mm | ds = 18 mm |
| Counterbore depth | a = 11 mm | Ts = 11.4 mm |
| Outer-ring fixing holes | 42 × Ø11.4 mm | 42 × Ø11.4 mm |
Counterbore difference: Schaeffler specifies 11 mm depth; LYDL’s table lists 11.4 mm. The approved LYDL order drawing must resolve this feature before manufacture or replacement approval. Equal nominal dimensions elsewhere do not establish identical tolerances or complete interchangeability.
LYDL lists P5, P4 and P2 precision options, grease lubrication, and GCr15, GCr15SiMn or 100Cr6 bearing steel. Specify the selected grade separately; these materials are not automatic equivalents.
INA/Schaeffler YRTC580-XL Performance Reference
The following figures are
TPI 120 reference data for YRTC580-XL. LYDL can review custom requirements based on these benchmarks; achieved performance must be defined in the agreed supply specification.
| Reference parameter | YRTC580-XL — TPI 120 |
|---|
| Basic dynamic axial load rating, Ca | 580 kN |
| Basic static axial load rating, C0a | 4,450 kN |
| Basic dynamic radial load rating, Cr | 235 kN |
| Basic static radial load rating, C0r | 730 kN |
| Continuous-operation limiting speed | 80 rpm |
| Swivel-operation limiting speed | 200 rpm; separate duty assessment required |
| Frictional torque guide value, MR | 60 N·m at 5 rpm |
| Mass | 89 kg |
| Standard fitted axial / radial runout | 10 / 10 µm with ideal adjacent construction |
The catalog’s continuous-speed conditions include prescribed grease distribution, rigid screw mounting and no external application load. Permissible operating speed still depends on loads, duty cycle and heat dissipation. Static ratings are not allowable workpiece weights, and the friction guide value alone does not size the drive motor.
Online versus PDF: Schaeffler’s online YRTC580-XL product data give
85.2 kg, while TPI 120 gives
89 kg. Neither value establishes LYDL’s supplied mass.
Temperature: The online brand page gives a +120°C maximum; TPI 120 states −30°C to +100°C. LYDL’s series page states −20°C to +120°C. Specify the required operating range with the grease and construction, rather than combining these limits.

YRT580 Application Areas
Consider this size where a 580 mm bore and 750 mm outside diameter fit the machine layout:
- CNC rotary workholding: support for fixtures and workpieces under combined machining loads.
- Swivel assemblies: positioning axes with changing gravity and cutting-force directions.
- Indexing fixtures: repeated angular movements with specified acceleration and settling.
- Measuring platforms: rotary inspection with defined running accuracy and structural deflection.
Include the complete fixture and workpiece geometry in the load review. For offset loading, the distance between the applied force and bearing reference point can be as important as the force magnitude.

| Model | Bore × OD × height | Installation consideration |
|---|
| YRT460 rotary table bearing | 460 × 600 × 70 mm | Smaller housing and 20 mm less height |
| YRT580 | 580 × 750 × 90 mm | 580 mm bore with a 90 mm axial envelope |
| YRT650 rotary table bearing | 650 × 870 × 122 mm | 70 mm more bore; 32 mm additional height |
These dimensions help establish the layout. A larger model is not automatically preferable: verify its radial and axial ratings, moment capability, stiffness and mounting requirements for the actual load case.
YRTS580, YRTM580 and the ZKLDF Route
| Option | Main function | Relevance to a 580 mm project |
|---|
| LYDL YRT580 | Axial/radial roller support | Base envelope: 580 × 750 × 90 mm |
| LYDL YRTS580 | Higher-speed roller-bearing family | Listed model; obtain the supply drawing |
| LYDL YRTM580 | Bearing system with angular measurement | Listed model; define the complete measuring interface |
| ZKLDF family | Double-direction angular contact ball support | No Schaeffler ZKLDF580 verified in the reviewed catalog |
LYDL names YRTS580 and YRTM580 in its model lists, although its detailed dimensions do not cover these configurations. Their availability and specifications should be established through the offered drawing, not inferred from the table’s endpoint.
Schaeffler YRTS580-XL is listed in TPI 120 at
580 × 750 × 90 mm, with a
350 rpm limiting speed under catalog conditions. This provides a higher-speed reference, not a LYDL performance commitment.
The reviewed TPI 120 ZKLDF tables extend through ZKLDF460, whose 460 × 600 × 70 mm envelope does not match YRT580. A ball-bearing solution for the 580 mm installation requires a verified model and drawing, followed by checks of interfaces, stiffness, preload, lubrication, sealing and duty.
Specification, Inspection and Protective Packing
Specify numerical tolerances alongside P5, P4 or P2. In the Schaeffler reference system,
XL denotes X-life,
VSP addresses preload for an axially supported L-section ring, and
PRL50 denotes restricted runout. TPI 120 directs customers to consult Schaeffler for restricted versions above 460 mm bore.
Identify fixing holes, retaining screws, extraction threads and lubrication passages separately. Their functions are not interchangeable. Use the supplied mounting instructions for screw selection and tightening; do not derive a torque from hole diameter.
Inspection requirements can include dimensions, hole geometry, runout and rotational resistance. Define measurement conditions and report scope with the order. Bearing runout does not establish complete-machine angular positioning accuracy.
For wooden-case packing, the bearing is laid flat with rust-preventive wrapping, cushioning and suitable blocking. Tape secures the wrap; separate restraint limits movement within the case. Final packaging and the model label follow the agreed shipment configuration.

Can a rotary table run continuously at the 200 rpm reference speed?
No. TPI 120 separates YRTC580-XL’s 80 rpm continuous-operation limit from its 200 rpm swivel-operation value. Reversing rotation does not by itself qualify a cycle for the higher figure. Provide the movement angle, speed profile, dwell time and thermal conditions for assessment.
Should the 42 outer fixing holes be spaced at 360° divided by 42?
No. The reference YRTC580-XL drawing uses a 48-position, 7.5° pitch pattern and separately identifies 42 outer fixing holes and six M12 extraction threads. Use the complete hole map. Do not replace the specified pattern with 42 equally spaced fixing positions.
Can YRT460 axial tolerances be reused when designing for YRT580?
No. TPI 120 gives standard YRTC580-XL H1 and H2 tolerances of ±0.25 mm, versus ±0.06 mm and ±0.03 mm for YRTC460-XL. These are brand reference tolerances. Establish the LYDL assembly’s axial tolerance stack using the agreed drawing and required table datum.
Can LYDL customize YRT580 around the brand reference requirements?
LYDL can review a requested specification covering dimensions, precision, lubrication and performance targets. Identify which requirements are essential and provide the operating conditions. The quotation and approved technical agreement should state the accepted values, inspection methods and any differences from the reference product.
