YRT180 rotary table bearing for machining and indexing
The LYDL YRT180 rotary table bearing provides combined-load support within a 180 × 280 × 43 mm envelope. Two axial roller rows carry loads in opposite axial directions, while a radial roller row supports radial loading. The assembly also accommodates tilting moments from offset forces.
For a 180 mm bore rotary table bearing, check the mounting layout as well as the envelope. YRT180 uses 194/260 mm inner/outer fixing-hole pitch circles with 46/45 fixing holes. Compare adjacent sizes in the LYDL YRT rotary table bearing range.LYDL YRT180 rotary table bearing, 180 × 280 × 43 mm.

The steel grades are alternatives requiring selection, not a claim of identical specifications. Identify retaining screws, extraction threads and lubrication passages separately from the fixing holes. Neither the hole diameter nor the counterbore dimensions alone establish a tightening torque.

The speed limit assumes the catalog’s mounting, lubrication and thermal conditions without external application load. It is not a loaded-duty guarantee. Static ratings do not directly specify allowable workpiece mass; frictional torque alone does not determine motor size. Source differences: LYDL lists d1 = 244 mm; TPI 120 gives D1 max. = 245.1 mm. Check clearance against the relevant section drawings. TPI 120 lists a mass of 7.2 kg, whereas the Schaeffler online datasheet lists 6.95 kg. Neither value specifies LYDL shipping weight. Temperature: LYDL’s series page lists −20°C to +120°C; TPI 120 specifies −30°C to +100°C. Confirm the range for the supplied LYDL bearing and lubricant. Applications and Operating Loads
Consider YRT180 where the machine accepts its 180 mm bore, 280 mm outside diameter and 43 mm installation height:
CNC rotary machining tables: support for fixtures and workpieces exposed to cutting forces.
Swivel axes: positioning through changing orientations and load directions.
Indexing stations: repeated movement followed by assembly, machining or inspection dwell.
Measuring fixtures: rotation with defined running accuracy and structural deflection.
Describe movement and dwell loads. Slow indexing can include substantial stationary machining loads; supply fixture geometry and force locations for selection.Illustrated YRT applications: assess both movement and stationary process loads when selecting the bearing.
Relative to YRT150, the YRT180 outer-ring width increases from 12 to 15 mm and H1 from 26 to 29 mm; H2 remains 14 mm. Review each supporting face instead of treating the overall 3 mm height increase as an interchangeable spacer adjustment.

LYDL’s typical-model lists include YRTS150/YRTS200 and YRTM150/YRTM200, but do not list YRTS180 or YRTM180. The detailed YRTS dimensional table begins at YRTS200. This is a limit of the published information, not proof that a custom 180 mm solution is unavailable.
In TPI 120, ZKLDF180 measures 180 × 280 × 43 mm and has a 3,500 rpm limiting speed under stated conditions. It offers a reference option for investigating higher-speed requirements. Compare stiffness, preload, lubrication, sealing and mounting profiles separately; the same external envelope does not establish direct interchangeability.
Precision and Assembly Requirements
Agree numerical acceptance limits, the rotating ring and measurement conditions. Bearing runout and complete-axis indexing accuracy require separate criteria.
Relevant Schaeffler suffixes are:
XL: X-life version.
VSP: preload arrangement for an axially supported L-section ring.
PRL50: restricted axial and radial runout.
These brand-specific configurations do not automatically correspond to LYDL P5, P4 or P2 options. Use the approved drawing and assembly procedure for fits, mounting faces, fastener specification and tightening sequence.
Plan access for fixing screws and lubrication before finalizing the housing. Check assembled runout and rotational resistance with the agreed support arrangement, rather than relying solely on inspection of an unmounted bearing.
Inspection and Protective Packaging
Agree inspection requirements with the order: dimensions, hole geometry, runout, rotational resistance, material documentation and any assembly acceptance checks.
For wooden-case packing, specify flat cushioned support, rust-preventive wrapping and blocking to limit movement. Tape secures wrapping rather than acting as the sole restraint. Agree external model and quantity labels with the order. The illustration below is not a shipment inspection record.Illustrative inspection and packaging arrangements: dimensional checks, protective wrapping and secured flat packing.
YRT180 FAQ
Do YRT180 and YRT200 share a drilling template because both have 46/45 fixing holes?
No. LYDL lists 194/260 mm inner/outer pitch circles for YRT180 and 215/285 mm for YRT200. Matching hole counts and diameters do not align their hole centers. Prepare the mating components from the drawing for the selected model.
Can the 194 mm inner pitch circle be rounded to 195 mm?
No. The nominal inner-ring fixing-hole pitch circle is 194 mm. Rounding it changes every hole-center position. Use the dimension and positional tolerances on the approved YRT180 drawing; bolt-hole clearance should not compensate for an incorrect drilling pattern.
Does the reference 4 µm runout value also apply to a loose LYDL YRT180?
No. It is a YRTC180-XL catalog value for a fitted bearing with ideal adjacent construction. LYDL acceptance limits must specify the supplied precision configuration, mounting state, datum and measurement method. A loose-bearing result cannot automatically be compared with that installed reference.
Does a table clamp remove machining loads from the bearing?
Not automatically. Load sharing depends on where the clamp reacts against the structure and how the table, bearing and housing deform. Supply a section showing the clamp and cutting-force locations so both clamped machining and unclamped movement can be assessed.
What lubrication information matters for short indexing movements?
Provide the indexing angle, cycles per hour, dwell duration, speed and operating temperature, together with access to lubrication points. Repeated short movements can require a different lubrication plan from continuous rotation; do not select grease quantity or intervals from bearing size alone.
