YRT150 Rotary Table Bearing for CNC Rotary Axes

The LYDL YRT150 rotary table bearing combines a 150 mm bore, 240 mm outside diameter and 40 mm height. Its two axial roller rows and one radial roller row support bidirectional axial loads, radial loads and tilting moments in rotary and indexing assemblies. Within the LYDL YRT rotary table bearing range, YRT150 offers a larger bore than YRT120 without increasing bearing height. The 165 mm inner-ring and 225 mm outer-ring fixing-hole pitch circles define a different mounting layout, requiring matching shaft-side and housing-side components. INA/Schaeffler YRTC150-XL Reference

The table below uses YRTC150-XL data from the cited Schaeffler TPI 120 catalog. These are brand-reference values, not LYDL performance guarantees. Obtain the LYDL configuration’s load, stiffness and operating data before final application calculations.
Reference parameterYRTC150-XL — TPI 120
Dynamic axial load rating, Ca128 kN
Static axial load rating, C0a650 kN
Dynamic radial load rating, Cr74 kN
Static radial load rating, C0r146 kN
Continuous-operation limiting speed, nG800 rpm under catalog conditions
Frictional torque guide value, MR4 N·m at 5 rpm
Mass5.4 kg
Standard fitted-bearing axial/radial runout3 µm with ideal adjacent construction
The limiting speed uses defined mounting, lubrication and thermal conditions without external application load. It does not establish permissible loaded-duty speed. Static ratings are not allowable workpiece weights, and bearing friction alone does not size the complete drive. Profile difference: LYDL lists d1 = 214 mm; TPI 120 gives D1 max. = 214.5 mm. Check the surrounding recess and mating-part profile before assuming interchangeability. Source differences: Schaeffler’s online YRTC150-XL information reports 5.216 kg and an upper operating temperature of +120°C. The cited TPI catalog lists 5.4 kg and −30°C to +100°C. The reference table above follows TPI rather than blending these sources. LYDL’s series page separately lists −20°C to +120°C. The supplied YRT150 operating range depends on its confirmed construction and lubricant; neither brand source overrides that specification. Checking an existing assembly? Applications and Selection Priorities

Consider YRT150 where a 150 mm shaft or hub interface and 240 mm bearing seat suit the machine layout:
  • CNC rotary tables: support for workholding assemblies under fixture, workpiece and cutting loads.
  • Swivel positioning axes: combined loads across changing operating angles.
  • Indexing equipment: repeated acceleration, stopping and stationary process loads.
  • Measuring fixtures: rotary inspection with agreed running-accuracy and deflection limits.
A larger faceplate can increase load offsets even when workpiece mass remains unchanged. Evaluate the full fixture geometry, machining forces and clamp arrangement, including both moving and stationary operating conditions. Compare YRT120, YRT150, YRT180 and YRT200

ModelBore × OD × heightInstallation consideration
YRT120120 × 210 × 40 mmSmaller bore and OD at the same height
YRT150150 × 240 × 40 mm150 mm bore within a 40 mm axial envelope
YRT180180 × 280 × 43 mmLarger seat and 3 mm additional height
YRT200200 × 300 × 45 mmMore bore space with a larger installation envelope
Compared with YRT120, YRT150 has 34 rather than 22 inner-ring fixing holes and 33 rather than 21 outer-ring fixing holes. The shared Ø7 mm hole diameter and 40 mm height do not preserve the bolt pattern or establish load-capacity equivalence.

YRTS150, YRTM150 and ZKLDF150 Options

OptionMain functionWhat needs checking
YRT150Combined-load roller supportLoads, stiffness, precision and mounting
YRTS150Higher-speed roller-bearing option listed by LYDLActual drawing, speed capability and lubrication
YRTM150Angular-measurement bearing option listed by LYDLBearing geometry, readhead and control interface
ZKLDF150Double-direction angular-contact ball bearingFull mounting and performance compatibility
LYDL lists both YRTS150 and YRTM150 under typical models. Its detailed YRTS dimensional table begins at YRTS200, so the model list alone does not establish the dimensions or ratings of YRTS150. Request the specific configuration rather than assuming that adding a suffix preserves every interface. The TPI catalog gives ZKLDF150 dimensions of 150 × 240 × 40 mm and a 3,600 rpm limiting speed under its stated conditions. It is a candidate for higher-speed investigation, with a different ball-contact structure. Compare stiffness, preload, lubrication, sealing and ring profiles before substitution. Matching overall dimensions does not make ZKLDF150 a direct replacement for every YRT150 assembly.

Precision, Suffixes and Assembly

Specify numerical tolerances alongside the chosen LYDL precision option. Bearing runout and the complete axis’s angular positioning error are different acceptance criteria. Relevant Schaeffler designations include:
  • XL: X-life version.
  • VSP: preload arrangement for an axially supported L-section ring.
  • PRL50: restricted axial and radial runout.
These suffixes describe that manufacturer’s configurations and do not automatically map to LYDL grades. Agree mounting-face tolerances, fits, fasteners and the tightening procedure against the supplied drawing. In the reference mounting table, M8 identifies extraction threads, not the fixing-screw size. Do not use it to select mounting fasteners. Verify assembled runout and rotational resistance after installation under the agreed measurement conditions.

Inspection and Wooden-Case Packaging

Inspection requirements may include boundary dimensions, fixing-hole geometry, axial and radial runout, rotational resistance and material documentation. Define the report scope and measurement conditions with the order, especially when comparing incoming inspection with installed performance. For wooden-case packing, the bearing is laid flat on cushioning and protected with rust-preventive wrapping. Suitable blocking restrains movement inside the case. Tape holds the wrapping; it is not the sole restraint for the bearing. The outer label identifies the ordered model and quantity. YRT150 FAQ

Can YRT150 use a housing designed for YRT120 because both are 40 mm high?

The shared height helps axial-space planning, but the bearing seats and fixing patterns differ. YRT150 needs a 240 mm outside-diameter interface instead of 210 mm, together with its own pitch circles. Review the housing, shaft-side component and screw access before considering a conversion.

Does the 214/214.5 mm profile difference mean 0.25 mm radial clearance is sufficient?

No. Halving the difference between two published diameters does not define a safe clearance. One value is a nominal LYDL dimension and the other a brand maximum. Use both component tolerances, the actual recess geometry and operating displacement to establish the required clearance.

Can some of the 34 inner-ring or 33 outer-ring fixing positions be omitted?

Do not assume the assembly retains its intended stiffness or load distribution with fewer screws. Any reduced fastening arrangement requires a specific joint and bearing review. Distinguish unused functional holes from specified fixing positions before approving the mounting design.

Can a standard YRT150 become YRTM150 by adding a readhead?

A readhead alone is insufficient. Angular measurement needs a compatible encoded track or scale, mechanical integration, signal interface and calibration. An external encoder may be a separate design option, but it does not automatically convert a standard bearing into the listed YRTM150 system.

Is 240 mm the maximum permitted faceplate diameter?

No. It is the bearing’s outside diameter, not a published faceplate limit. A larger plate may be possible, but its stiffness, overhang, load offsets and mounting connection require assessment. Select using the full load geometry rather than a fixed faceplate-to-bearing diameter ratio.
