XV60 crossed roller bearing is a compact, high-rigidity bearing designed for precision rotary systems with a 60 mm shaft interface.
Dimensions: 60 mm bore × 110 mm outside diameter × 17 mm overall width
Mounting: 16 counterbored fixing holes on a 95 mm pitch circle
Structure: Solid outer ring with a circumferentially split inner ring
Load support: Radial load, axial load in both directions and overturning moment
Reference load ratings: Ca 22.6 kN, C0a 64 kN, Cr 14.4 kN and C0r 25.5 kN
Standard configuration: Sealed on both sides, grease lubricated and approximately 0.75 kg
The outer ring can be mounted directly to the adjacent structure, while the split inner ring allows clearance or preload to be adjusted using a suitable precision locknut.
LYDL manufactures XV60 bearings for industrial robot axes, precision gearbox outputs, servo-driven rotary modules, optical inspection systems, medical positioning equipment and automated handling mechanisms. Low-clearance, preloaded, corrosion-resistant and P5/P4/P2 accuracy configurations can be evaluated according to the approved drawing and inspection requirements.
XV60 Crossed Roller Bearing Overview
XV60 crossed roller bearing is a sealed, grease-lubricated precision bearing with a 60 mm bore, 110 mm outside diameter and 17 mm overall width. Its crossed cylindrical rollers allow one compact bearing position to support radial load, axial load from both directions and overturning moment.
A distinguishing feature of XV60 is its 16-hole outer-ring mounting pattern. The counterbored holes are arranged on a 95 mm pitch circle, allowing the solid outer ring to be installed directly onto a gearbox housing, mounting plate or machine structure.
The circumferentially split inner ring can be located and adjusted using a suitable precision locknut. This allows the installed clearance or preload to be matched to the required rigidity and rotational torque.
XV60 is suitable for robot axes, gearbox output supports, inspection systems and compact rotary modules designed around a 60 mm shaft interface. Other bore sizes are available through the XV Series Cross Roller Bearings page.

The XV60 crossed roller bearing values above are catalog references. Final dimensions, tolerances, accuracy, clearance or preload, lubricant and inspection requirements must be confirmed by the approved LYDL drawing.
The limiting speeds are reference values rather than automatically permissible continuous speeds. Actual speed capability depends on load, preload, lubrication, mounting accuracy, heat dissipation and operating cycle.
What Makes XV60 Different Within the XV Series?
XV60 is the first standard size in the XV range to use 16 outer-ring fixing holes instead of 12. It retains the same 17 mm overall width as XV50 while increasing the bore to 60 mm and the outside diameter to 110 mm.
XV60 is the intermediate choice when the machine requires a 60 mm bore but must retain a relatively thin 17 mm bearing envelope. XV70 provides a larger shaft interface and slightly higher load ratings but requires a 120 mm outside diameter.
Direct Mounting with a 16-Hole Outer Ring
The solid outer ring contains 16 counterbored mounting holes. Compared with the 12-hole arrangement used on smaller XV sizes, the additional fixing positions provide a different connection pattern for the larger bearing diameter.
The 16-hole pattern does not by itself define the permissible connection load. The complete joint should be evaluated according to:
Screw size and strength grade
Thread engagement
Screw preload
Mounting-surface flatness
Housing rigidity
Applied axial load and moment
Dynamic and emergency-stop loads
All screws should be installed loosely before final tightening. They should then be tightened gradually in a diagonal or crosswise sequence to reduce the risk of outer-ring distortion.
Split Inner Ring and Preload Adjustment
The inner ring is split circumferentially and is normally supported by a shaft shoulder and secured using a precision locknut.
Adjusting the locknut influences the relationship between the inner-ring sections and therefore the installed clearance, preload and rotational resistance. The final setting should be verified through an approved clearance, displacement or rotational-torque measurement procedure.
Locknut tightening torque alone is not sufficient because the measured torque is influenced by thread friction, lubrication, surface condition and tool accuracy.
XV60 or RB6013 for a 60 mm Bore?
Both bearings have a nominal 60 mm bore, but their structures and dimensions are different.
XV60 measures 60 × 110 × 17 mm and uses a solid outer ring with mounting holes plus a split inner ring. The RB6013 Cross Roller Bearing measures 60 × 90 × 13 mm and uses an integrated inner ring with a split outer ring.
XV60 is preferable when direct outer-ring mounting and locknut adjustment are required. RB6013 may be more suitable when minimum outside diameter and accurate inner-ring rotation are the main priorities.
They are not directly interchangeable. Other mounting structures can be compared through the LYDL Cross Roller Bearing Product Range.

Send the required quantity, load, speed, accuracy and installation information to the LYDL Engineering and Sales Team. LYDL can review the mounting arrangement and provide an XV60 confirmation drawing before production.
XV60 Crossed Roller Bearing Load and Preload Selection
Bearing selection should consider the complete operating condition rather than one catalog load rating.
Important inputs include:
Radial and axial loads
Overturning moment and eccentricity
Continuous rotation or oscillating movement
Acceleration, braking and emergency-stop loads
Shock and vibration
Required service life
Required positioning accuracy
Shaft and housing rigidity
Fixing-screw capacity
Temperature and lubrication
Preload can improve rigidity and reduce internal play, but excessive preload may increase starting torque, operating temperature and sensitivity to mounting errors. It can also reduce allowable speed and grease life.
For robot and gearbox applications, preload should be matched to reducer stiffness, motor torque, acceleration and reversing frequency. For measuring equipment, smooth rotation and torque consistency may be more important than maximum preload.
RL0, VSP and RR are commonly used reference suffixes, but their precise definitions are not universal across manufacturers. Preload, coating, grease and accuracy requirements must be confirmed on the LYDL quotation and drawing.
P5, P4 and P2 should be treated as technical accuracy requirements. The measured characteristics, reference datums, tolerances and inspection methods should be stated clearly.
XV60 Manufacturing and Inspection
Each LYDL XV60 crossed roller bearing is produced through controlled turning, heat treatment, dimensional stabilization, precision raceway grinding, superfinishing, roller sorting, cleaning, assembly and grease filling.
Inspection can include:
Bore, outside diameter and ring widths
Through-hole and counterbore dimensions
Position of the 16-hole pattern
Pitch-circle diameter
Radial and axial runout
End-face parallelism
Internal clearance or preload
Starting and running torque
Seal and grease condition
Marking and traceability
For the 16-hole mounting pattern, a coordinate measuring machine or an appropriate inspection fixture can be used to verify hole position relative to the bearing datum. Measuring only the distance between adjacent holes may not fully identify accumulated pitch errors.
Available documentation can include dimensional reports, material certificates, Certificates of Conformity, accuracy records, torque data and lubricant information.
Installation and Lubrication
Confirm the bearing orientation, shaft shoulder and locknut arrangement.
Clean the shaft, mounting surface, screws and locknut.
Remove burrs and raised edges from all locating surfaces.
Apply fitting force through the ring being installed, not through the rollers.
Install all 16 outer-ring screws loosely before final tightening.
Tighten the screws gradually in a diagonal sequence.
Adjust the split inner ring using the specified precision locknut.
Verify the installed clearance or preload.
Recheck runout, rotational torque and free movement.
The screw specification and tightening torque must follow the approved machine drawing. The bearing-hole dimensions should not be used as the sole basis for fastener selection.
Standard XV60 bearings are sealed on both sides and grease lubricated. Applications involving high speed, small-angle oscillation, low temperature, vacuum or unusual chemicals require separate evaluation of grease, seals and materials.
Packaging and OEM Options
XV60 bearings can be supplied with anti-rust protection, individual wrapping, labeled boxes, moisture protection, shock-resistant separation and reinforced export packaging.
OEM options can include:
XV60 is larger than XV50 and uses a 16-hole pattern on a 95 mm pitch circle. The additional mounting positions suit its larger installation diameter, but connection capacity must still be checked from screw grade, engagement, preload, mounting rigidity and applied moment.
Does the 60 mm nominal bore require a shaft diameter of exactly 60.000 mm?
Not necessarily. The final shaft tolerance depends on the required fit, load direction, rotating ring, accuracy and assembly method. The nominal bore and its tolerance must be read together with the approved mounting drawing.
Is XV60 suitable for a vertical robot axis?
It can be suitable, but the calculation should include the permanent axial load, arm moment, acceleration, braking and emergency-stop conditions. The brake and supporting structure should also be assessed independently.
How should emergency-stop loads be evaluated?
Use the maximum transient radial, axial and moment loads generated during the stop, including payload and arm inertia. These loads may be higher than normal operating loads and should be checked against both the bearing and fixing-screw capacity.
How can the 16-hole pitch circle be inspected?
Hole positions should be checked relative to the bearing datum using a coordinate measuring machine, suitable inspection fixture or approved measurement method. Checking only adjacent-hole spacing may not reveal cumulative positional error.
Can XV60 directly replace RB6013?
No. Both have a 60 mm bore, but their outside diameters, widths, ring structures and mounting methods differ. The shaft, housing and fixing arrangement must be reviewed.
Does XV60 VSP remove all servo-system backlash?
No. Bearing preload can reduce internal bearing play, but total system backlash can also come from the gearbox, coupling, shaft, housing, fasteners and servo control.
Can a preloaded XV60 continuously operate at 516 rpm?
Not automatically. The value is a reference limiting speed. Continuous operation requires an appropriate margin based on load, preload, lubrication, temperature and heat dissipation.
What should be included in an XV60 first-article inspection?
A useful first-article report can include boundary dimensions, mounting-hole position, radial and axial runout, clearance or preload, rotational torque, marking, lubricant information and material traceability.
