The LYDL RE4010 cross roller bearing measures 40 × 65 × 10 mm, with an approximate catalogue mass of 0.16 kg. Its split inner ring and one-piece outer ring suit precision outer-ring rotation.
A calculated radial section of 12.5 mm makes RE4010 a compact option for optical carriers and small indexing fixtures. Basic radial ratings are 8.33 kN dynamic and 10.6 kN static. Specify accuracy, clearance or preload, seals and mounting requirements when requesting a quotation.
RE4010 Cross Roller Bearing for Compact Rotary Stages
The RE4010 cross roller bearing combines a 40 mm bore, 65 mm outside diameter and 10 mm width. Its calculated 12.5 mm radial section helps designers allocate less space to the bearing within a small rotary assembly.
A split inner ring and one-piece outer ring favour accurate outer-ring rotation. Crossed rollers support radial loads, axial loads in both directions and overturning moments. Explore the RE series cross roller bearings for other sizes.

Source: THK RE catalogue, page A18-27. Radial section is calculated from the boundary dimensions. The bearing chamfer value does not independently specify the permissible shaft or housing fillet.
C and C₀ are basic radial ratings. Allowable operating loads require combined-load, life and static-safety calculations; neither value is a machine payload or moment rating.

Where RE4010 Fits
Consider RE4010 when the mechanism needs a compact rotating outer carrier:
Optical component positioning: Rotate a filter or small optical holder; specify allowable axis error and lubricant restrictions near exposed optics.
Electronic component inspection: Index a small fixture beneath a fixed camera; include clamp forces and the fixture’s centre of gravity in selection.
Miniature assembly stations: Orient small components between operations; evaluate contact forces, acceleration and the available housing space.
These are application concepts. A 40 mm bearing bore does not establish the usable opening after the supporting hub and retention parts are installed.
Values follow the THK RE catalogue; differences below are calculated.
Compared with RE5013, RE4010 reduces bearing outside diameter by 15 mm, width by 3 mm and approximate mass by 110 g. RE5013 offers approximately twice the dynamic radial rating within its larger section.
RE6013 adds a 60 mm bore while retaining RE5013’s 13 mm width. Moving from RE4010 to either model requires different shaft and housing dimensions. Request an RE4010 quotation with quantity and delivery country. For size-selection support, include your available diameter, axial space and operating loads.
Rotational accuracy grades; dimensional tolerances require separate specification
Specify the sealed face for U. Confirm LYDL availability, numerical runout limits, clearance or preload, lubricant and starting torque. Material options such as GCr15 or 100Cr6 bearing steel require order confirmation.
Operating speed and temperature limits depend on the confirmed seals, lubricant, preload and duty cycle.
Inspection and Protective Packaging
For RE4010, agree checks for boundary dimensions, outer-ring radial and axial runout, clearance or preload, and rotational torque. Define the fixture, temperature and measurement conditions for any torque acceptance limit.
Request inspection records and material documentation with the order. See LYDL manufacturing capabilities for company information. Specify individual protection, corrosion prevention, cushioning and clear model identification for shipment.
RE4010 FAQ
1. Is a 7.5 mm housing wall sufficient for RE4010?
Applying THK’s general housing guide gives 0.6 × 12.5 = 7.5 mm as a preliminary minimum. Material, loading, fit and flange stiffness still need evaluation. This calculation does not establish an approved RE4010 housing design.
2. Should RE4010UUCC0 use a tight press fit for greater rigidity?
CC0 already specifies preload. An unreviewed interference fit can increase it excessively. THK’s fit guidance calls for controlled, measured fits when additional rigidity is needed. Agree the LYDL shaft and housing fits before finalising the seats.
3. How should lubrication access be arranged in a compact RE4010 housing?
Where relubrication is required, provide access through the mating components to the confirmed bearing ports or grooves. Check locations on the LYDL drawing before machining. THK’s lubrication guidance explains this connection; do not modify the bearing to create access.
4. Can a standard RE4010 be used in a vacuum optical instrument?
Vacuum use requires a separately reviewed configuration. Specify pressure, temperature and contamination limits; agree lubricant, seals, internal materials and cleaning requirements. A UU suffix alone does not establish vacuum suitability. THK identifies vacuum lubrication as an environment-specific requirement.

LYDL supplies this product under its own brand. THK references support catalogue comparison and engineering guidance. ISO references describe calculation and tolerance frameworks; they do not certify the supplied LYDL bearing or establish interchangeability.
