RA20013 Cross Roller Bearing – 200 × 226 × 13 mm

The RA20013 cross roller bearing is a large-bore thin-section bearing with a 200 mm bore, 226 mm outside diameter and 13 mm width. It provides a large central passage while maintaining a compact and lightweight rotary structure.

Its crossed cylindrical rollers support radial, bidirectional axial and overturning moment loads in one bearing position. Compared with 8 mm-wide RA models, the 13 mm section provides higher load capacity and greater structural support.

The one-piece inner ring is normally selected as the rotating ring. The separable outer ring requires accurate and uniform clamping by the housing.

LYDL supplies the RA20013 cross roller bearing in open, sealed, C0 and CC0 configurations. Higher accuracy, special grease, controlled clearance and inspection reports are available after technical confirmation.

RA20013 Cross Roller Bearing Overview

The RA20013 cross roller bearing provides a 200 mm through-bore within a 226 mm outside diameter. Its width is 13 mm. This creates a 13 mm radial section on each side while preserving a large central passage. Cylindrical rollers are arranged alternately at 90 degrees between the raceways. One bearing position can support radial, bidirectional axial and overturning moment loads. Spacer retainers separate adjacent rollers. They reduce roller-to-roller friction and help maintain stable rotational torque. RA20013 uses a one-piece inner ring and a separable outer ring. The inner ring is normally selected as the rotating ring when running accuracy is important. RA20013 cross roller bearing

What Makes RA20013 Different?

Large 200 mm Through-Bore

The RA20013 cross roller bearing provides a large central opening for cables, optical components, pneumatic lines or a hollow transmission shaft. It is suitable for equipment that must route multiple services through the center of rotation.

13 mm Section Instead of 8 mm

Smaller RA models from RA5008 to RA15008 generally use an 8 mm width. RA20013 uses a 13 mm width and radial section. This provides more room for the rollers and greater load-carrying capability.

Higher Load Ratings

RA20013 has a basic dynamic radial rating of 25.8 kN and a basic static radial rating of 54.7 kN. These values are substantially higher than those of the 8 mm-wide RA models. Final selection still requires a combined-load and life calculation.

Compact Mass for a 200 mm Bore

The bearing weighs approximately 0.71 kg. This remains relatively light for a precision bearing with a 200 mm bore, helping control the mass of large rotary modules.

Combined-Load Support

The crossed rollers support radial, bidirectional axial and moment loads in one bearing position. This can simplify a large-aperture rotary mechanism and reduce the number of separate bearing positions.

Typical RA20013 Cross Roller Bearing Applications

The RA20013 cross roller bearing is suitable for:
  • Large hollow-shaft robot joints
  • Robot shoulder and base positioning modules
  • Semiconductor wafer-processing equipment
  • Large-aperture optical positioning stages
  • Medical and laboratory positioning systems
  • Direct-drive rotary modules
  • Precision inspection and metrology platforms
  • Antenna and sensor pointing mechanisms
The 200 mm opening provides space for large cable bundles, optical paths, pipes or hollow drive components. RA20013 is most useful where a large passage and compact bearing section are required together. It should not be selected from bore size alone. Loads, moment arm, accuracy, torque and surrounding structural rigidity must also be reviewed. RA20013 Variants and Suffixes

Suffix conventions can vary between manufacturers. Confirm the complete designation and technical requirements before ordering.
DesignationTypical meaningSelection guidance
RA20013Open standard bearingSuitable for clean, enclosed mechanisms
RA20013UUSealed on both sidesImproves grease retention and contamination protection
RA20013CSingle-split outer-ring typeStructure and mounting drawing must be confirmed
RA20013CUUSingle-split type with two sealsConfirm seal drag and operating torque
C0Standard or positive radial clearanceGenerally favors lower rotational resistance
CC0Controlled negative clearance or preloadImproves rigidity but increases mounting sensitivity
P6T / P5TSpecified rotational-accuracy optionsConfirm the rotating ring and inspection method
P4 / P2 customLYDL high-precision optionRequires approved accuracy and inspection criteria
UU seals improve grease retention and provide additional contamination protection. Seal contact can increase starting torque. Open bearings may be preferable in clean equipment requiring minimum rotational resistance. CC0 preload can improve rigidity and positioning stability. Excessive preload can increase torque, temperature and housing sensitivity. An LYDL RA20013 cross roller bearing should be configured according to the application rather than by suffix alone.

Short Brand Naming Guide

Different manufacturers may use different designations for a similar 200 × 226 × 13 mm bearing envelope.
Brand or supplier groupCommon designationImportant note
THKRA20013 / RA20013UUStandard RA-series naming
IKOCRBS20013, CRBS20013 A UU or CRBS20013 VCage, separator and full-complement versions differ
LYDLRA20013, RA20013UU, RA20013UUCC0Accuracy and clearance follow the approved order
Some aftermarket suppliersXRA20013 or SRA20013Supplier-specific prefix; drawing comparison is required
The IKO “V” designation generally identifies a different internal roller configuration. Its load ratings should not be applied to standard CRBS20013 or RA20013. Similar names and dimensions do not guarantee identical load ratings, preload, accuracy, seals or torque.

RA20013 Compared with Smaller RA Models

ModelBore × OD × widthDynamic rating CStatic rating C0Approx. mass
RA12008120 × 136 × 8 mm7.84 kN16.5 kN0.17 kg
RA14008140 × 156 × 8 mm8.33 kN19.1 kN0.19 kg

Choose the RA12008 Cross Roller Bearing when a 120 mm passage and an 8 mm width are sufficient. Select the RA14008 Cross Roller Bearing when a 140 mm opening is required but the mechanism must retain an 8 mm width. RA20013 provides a much larger bore and higher ratings. It also requires 13 mm of axial installation space.

Installation and Housing Requirements

The thin rings of the RA20013 cross roller bearing depend on the surrounding structure for correct support. Control housing roundness, shaft coaxiality, shoulder perpendicularity and retaining-cover flatness. Use 205 mm as the catalogue maximum shaft-shoulder diameter. Use 219 mm as the catalogue minimum housing-shoulder diameter. Confirm both dimensions against the final LYDL drawing. The complete housing must be larger than the 226 mm bearing outside diameter. Allow sufficient material for the housing wall, retaining cover and fasteners. Because of the larger diameter, retaining-cover rigidity and screw spacing are important. A flexible cover can apply uneven pressure and produce local changes in preload, torque and runout. Clean all mating surfaces and remove burrs before installation. Do not force the bearing into a distorted housing. Tighten the retaining screws gradually in a diagonal sequence. Uniform tightening helps prevent deformation of the separable outer ring. After installation, rotate the inner ring slowly. Check starting torque, smoothness, noise and runout before connecting the drive. Abnormal installed torque may result from:
  • Retaining-cover deflection
  • Uneven screw tightening
  • Housing roundness error
  • Shaft and housing misalignment
  • Excessive interference or preload
  • Seal friction
  • Excessive or unsuitable grease
These factors should be checked before identifying the bearing as defective.

Effective Bore and Service Routing

The nominal bearing bore is 200 mm. The usable opening in the finished machine may be smaller. Shaft shoulders, retaining components, fasteners and cable supports can reduce the final passage. Check the complete assembly section before defining cable, pipe or optical-aperture dimensions. Cables and hoses should be supported so that they do not rub against the rotating ring or damage the bearing seals.

Accuracy and Rotational Torque

RA20013 is normally used with inner-ring rotation. Accuracy requirements should identify the rotating ring, measured surface and inspection method. A high-accuracy bearing cannot compensate for a flexible housing or uneven outer-ring clamping. Installed torque should be checked after the retaining cover reaches its final tightening condition. For direct-drive equipment, provide the motor’s available starting torque before choosing seals or CC0 preload.

Lubrication and Operating Conditions

Standard RA20013 configurations normally use grease lubrication. Grease viscosity and fill quantity should match the load, speed, temperature and required rotational resistance. The published −15°C to +80°C range relates to a standard grease configuration. Vacuum, cleanroom, low-temperature and high-temperature applications require separate grease, seal and material confirmation. Open bearings require a clean enclosure. Sealed versions improve protection but are not maintenance-free under every duty cycle.

LYDL Manufacturing and Quality Control

LYDL controls ring material, heat treatment, raceway grinding, roller sorting, assembly clearance and final inspection. Inspection for an RA20013 cross roller bearing can include:
  • Bore, outside diameter and width
  • Raceway geometry and surface condition
  • Radial clearance or preload
  • Inner-ring rotational runout
  • Starting and running torque
  • Noise and rotational smoothness
  • Seal condition and grease quantity
  • Marking and packaging inspection
Roundness, flatness and torque control are important for a 226 mm bearing that is only 13 mm wide. Material certificates, dimensional reports and accuracy records can be supplied when agreed before production. LYDL uses anti-rust protection and shock-resistant export packaging. Concentrated pressure on the thin outer ring is avoided.

Interchange and Cross-Reference Guidance

RA20013 and IKO CRBS20013 share nominal boundary dimensions of 200 × 226 × 13 mm. Their published standard load ratings and mass are not identical. CRBS20013 V uses another internal configuration and has different ratings again. A matching bore, outside diameter and width do not prove complete interchangeability. Before replacement, provide:
  • Existing manufacturer and complete model
  • All suffixes
  • Cage, separator or full-complement structure
  • Shaft and housing drawing
  • Required clearance or preload
  • Rotating ring
  • Loads, moment and speed
  • Lubrication and operating environment
LYDL will compare the existing product with the RA20013 cross roller bearing and issue a controlled drawing for approval.

RA20013 Cross Roller Bearing FAQ

1. Why is RA20013 13 mm wide instead of 8 mm?

The larger 13 mm section provides more room for the internal rollers and raceways. This produces a substantial increase in load capacity compared with the smaller 8 mm-wide RA models.

2. Does a 200 mm bore mean RA20013 is suitable for heavy machinery?

Not automatically. RA20013 has higher ratings than smaller RA models, but actual suitability depends on combined loads, moment arm, shock, housing rigidity and required life.

3. Can the complete 200 mm bore be used for cables or pipes?

The bearing bore is 200 mm, but the usable machine opening may be reduced by shafts, shoulders, fasteners and cable guides. Check the complete assembly drawing before defining the service-routing diameter.

4. Can the 54.7 kN static rating be used as the maximum moment load?

No. The static rating is a basic radial reference value. Moment capacity must be evaluated from bearing geometry, moment arm, preload and surrounding structural stiffness.

5. Why is retaining-cover stiffness important at 226 mm OD?

A wide but flexible cover can deflect between screws and apply uneven force to the separable outer ring. This can change clearance, torque and rotational accuracy.

6. Can the outer ring rotate?

RA20013 is normally used with inner-ring rotation because its outer ring is separable and housing-clamped. For outer-ring rotation, evaluate an integrated-ring RAU design or another suitable structure.

7. Can RA20013 directly replace IKO CRBS20013?

The nominal dimensions match, but the standard ratings, mass and available internal configurations differ. Compare the complete suffix, roller structure, clearance, accuracy, seals and drawings before replacement.

8. Why does CRBS20013 V have different load ratings?

The V suffix identifies a different roller arrangement from the standard caged CRBS20013. Load ratings from the V version should not be used for RA20013 or another internal structure.
