The RA16013 cross roller bearing is a large-bore thin-section bearing with a 160 mm bore, 186 mm outside diameter and 13 mm width. It provides significantly higher load capacity than the smaller 8 mm-wide RA models while maintaining a compact radial section.
Its crossed cylindrical rollers support radial, bidirectional axial and overturning moment loads in one bearing position. The one-piece inner ring is normally selected as the rotating ring, while the separable outer ring requires uniform housing support.
LYDL supplies the RA16013 cross roller bearing in open, sealed, C0 and CC0 configurations. Higher accuracy, special grease, controlled clearance and inspection reports are available after technical confirmation.

RA16013 Cross Roller Bearing Overview
The RA16013 cross roller bearing provides a 160 mm through-bore within a 186 mm outside diameter.
Its width is 13 mm. The radial section is also 13 mm on each side.
RA16013 marks an important dimensional change in the standard RA range. Smaller models up to RA15008 generally use an 8 mm width.
The increased section provides more space for rollers and raceways. This produces a substantial increase in dynamic and static load ratings.
Cylindrical rollers are arranged alternately at 90 degrees. One bearing position can support radial, bidirectional axial and overturning moment loads.
Spacer retainers separate adjacent rollers. They help reduce friction and maintain stable rotational torque.
RA16013 uses a one-piece inner ring and a separable outer ring. The inner ring is normally selected as the rotating ring when running accuracy is important.RA16013 combines a 160 mm through-bore with a 13 mm section for higher-capacity precision rotary assemblies.

What Makes RA16013 Different?
First 13 mm Section in the Standard Size Progression
The RA16013 cross roller bearing follows the 8 mm-wide RA15008 but increases its width to 13 mm.
This 5 mm increase produces a much greater change in load capacity than simply increasing the bore diameter within the 8 mm range.
Large 160 mm Through-Bore
The central opening can accommodate cables, pneumatic lines, optical components or a hollow transmission shaft.
It is suitable for equipment that needs a large service passage through the rotation center.
Higher Load Capacity
RA16013 has a basic dynamic radial rating of 23.3 kN and a basic static radial rating of 44.9 kN.
These values are substantially higher than the 8.82 kN and 20.6 kN ratings of RA15008.
Compact Weight
The bearing weighs approximately 0.59 kg.
This keeps the rotary structure relatively light while providing considerably more capacity than the 8 mm-wide models.
Combined-Load Support
The crossed rollers react to radial, bidirectional axial and moment loads in one bearing position.
This can simplify hollow-shaft rotary systems that would otherwise require multiple bearing rows.
Typical RA16013 Cross Roller Bearing Applications
The RA16013 cross roller bearing is suitable for:
Hollow-shaft robot shoulders and elbows
Medium-size robot base modules
Semiconductor wafer-handling equipment
Optical positioning and scanning stages
Direct-drive rotary systems
Medical and laboratory positioning equipment
Precision inspection platforms
Antenna and sensor pointing mechanisms
The 160 mm bore provides space for cable bundles, optical paths, hoses or transmission components.
RA16013 is useful when the 8 mm-wide RA models do not provide sufficient capacity but a much heavier conventional bearing is unnecessary.
Selection should consider combined loads, moment arm, accuracy, motor torque and housing rigidity.
supports compact rotary motion in robot joints, optical stages, semiconductor equipment and inspection systems.

Usually identifies a different deep-groove ball bearing
Do not omit the “RA” or “CRBS” prefix when requesting this crossed roller bearing.
The designation “16013” alone can be interpreted as an unrelated 65 × 100 × 11 mm radial ball bearing.
Choose the RA14008 Cross Roller Bearing when an 8 mm width and 140 mm bore are sufficient.
Select the RA20013 Cross Roller Bearing when the application requires a 200 mm through-bore.
RA16013 provides the smallest standard 13 mm-wide option in this dimensional progression.
Installation and Housing Requirements
The thin rings of the RA16013 cross roller bearing depend on the surrounding structure for support.
Control housing roundness, shaft coaxiality, shoulder perpendicularity and retaining-cover flatness.
Use 165 mm as the catalogue maximum shaft-shoulder diameter. Use 179 mm as the catalogue minimum housing-shoulder diameter.
Confirm both dimensions against the final LYDL drawing.
The complete housing must be larger than the 186 mm bearing outside diameter.
Allow sufficient material for the housing wall, retaining cover and fastening system.
Retaining-cover thickness and screw spacing should provide even support around the complete outer ring.
Clean all mating surfaces and remove burrs before installation. Do not force the bearing into a distorted housing.
Tighten the retaining screws gradually in a diagonal sequence. Uniform tightening helps prevent outer-ring deformation.
After installation, rotate the inner ring slowly. Check starting torque, smoothness, noise and runout before connecting the drive.
Abnormal installed torque may result from:
Retaining-cover deflection
Uneven screw tightening
Housing roundness error
Shaft and housing misalignment
Excessive interference or preload
Seal friction
Excessive or unsuitable grease
These factors should be checked before identifying the bearing as defective.
Effective Bore and Service Routing
The nominal bearing bore is 160 mm. The usable opening in the assembled machine may be smaller.
Shaft shoulders, retaining components, fasteners and cable supports can reduce the final passage.
Check the complete assembly section before defining the required cable, pipe or optical-aperture diameter.
Cables and hoses should not rub against the rotating ring or bearing seals.
Accuracy and Rotational Torque
RA16013 is normally selected for inner-ring rotation.
Accuracy requirements should identify the rotating ring, measured feature and inspection method.
A high-accuracy bearing cannot compensate for a flexible housing or uneven outer-ring clamping.
Installed torque should be measured after the retaining cover reaches its final tightening condition.
For direct-drive equipment, provide the motor’s available starting torque before selecting seals or CC0 preload.
Lubrication and Operating Conditions
Standard RA16013 configurations normally use grease lubrication.
Grease viscosity and fill quantity should match the load, speed, temperature and required rotational resistance.
The published −15°C to +80°C range relates to a standard grease configuration.
Vacuum, cleanroom, low-temperature and high-temperature applications require separate lubricant, seal and material confirmation.
Open bearings require a clean enclosure. Sealed versions improve protection but are not maintenance-free under every duty cycle.
LYDL Manufacturing and Quality Control
LYDL controls ring material, heat treatment, raceway grinding, roller sorting, assembly clearance and final inspection.

RA16013 Cross Roller Bearing FAQ
1. Why does RA16013 have much higher ratings than RA15008?
RA16013 increases the width and radial section from 8 mm to 13 mm.
The larger internal space accommodates a more substantial roller and raceway structure.
2. Is “16013 bearing” the correct product name?
No. The complete name should include RA16013 or the relevant CRBS designation.
“16013” alone is commonly used for a different radial ball bearing and can cause purchasing errors.
3. Does the 160 mm bore make RA16013 suitable for heavy machinery?
Not automatically.
Suitability depends on combined loads, moment arm, shock, housing stiffness, speed and required service life.
4. Can the full 160 mm opening be used for cables?
The nominal bore is 160 mm, but the usable opening may be reduced by shafts, shoulders, fasteners and cable guides.
Confirm the complete assembly section before defining cable-bundle dimensions.
5. Can the 44.9 kN static rating be used as the maximum moment?
No. It is a basic radial static rating.
Moment capacity must be evaluated using the bearing geometry, applied moment arm, preload and surrounding structural stiffness.
6. Can the outer ring rotate?
RA16013 is normally used with inner-ring rotation because its outer ring is separable and housing-clamped.
For outer-ring rotation, evaluate an integrated-ring RAU design or another suitable structure.
7. Can RA16013 directly replace IKO CRBS16013?
The nominal dimensions match, but the standard ratings and available internal configurations differ.
Compare the complete suffix, roller structure, clearance, accuracy, seals and controlled drawings.
8. Why does CRBS16013 V have higher load ratings?
The V version uses a different roller configuration from the standard caged CRBS16013.
Its load ratings should not be applied to RA16013 or another internal structure.
