K11008XP0 / J11008XP0 Four-Point Contact Thin Section Bearing – 110 × 126 × 8 mm (Open & Sealed)

K11008XP0 and J11008XP0 are the confirmed KAYDON comparison models for LYDL PX11008 open and PX11008UU double sealed, in 110 × 126 × 8 mm dimensions.

When replacing a bearing in an existing machine, establish the original closure as well as the bore, outside diameter and width. A housing cover does not prove that the removed bearing had integral seals. Keep sample observations separate from drawing dimensions and record any repaired seats.

Request a LYDL retrofit review with the original identification, interface measurements and the required open or sealed configuration.

K11008XP0 and J11008XP0 are the open and double-sealed references for LYDL PX11008 and PX11008UU. Both measure 110 × 126 × 8 mm nominally; select the closure from the machine requirements and the approved LYDL drawing.

In a retrofit, an incomplete spare-parts list or a worn sample may obscure which configuration was originally installed. Establish the full interface and distinguish integral bearing seals from separate machine covers before ordering a replacement.

Build an identification record before selecting the replacement

Start with the machine drawing or original bill of materials if it is available. Record any marking on the removed bearing and photograph the way it was retained. Note whether the unit was open, sealed or protected by separate machine components; an external cover should not be mistaken for an integral bearing seal.

Measure the bore, outside diameter and width using an appropriate method, and record the condition of the sample. A worn, damaged or contaminated part may no longer represent the nominal interface accurately. Preserve the original observations instead of rounding every measurement to the nearest familiar catalog size.

Compare the shaft seat, housing seat and axial locating faces with the proposed replacement drawing. Look for repairs, sleeves or modifications made since the original machine was built. A nominally matching bearing can still encounter an altered support condition.

Combine these observations into one identification record so engineering and purchasing are reviewing the same evidence.

K11008XP0 / J11008XP0 reference data

The following values describe KAYDON K11008XP0 and J11008XP0, not certified LYDL performance.

Catalog ratingDynamicStatic
Radial6,933 N11,395 N
Axial10,689 N28,469 N
Moment307 N·m672 N·m

These limits are not simultaneous. The dynamic basis is one million revolutions of L10 life; static values assume rigid ring support. Obtain the LYDL rating basis before calculating application life. The LYDL series table labels force capacities in “kg”; this page does not silently reinterpret those entries as newtons.

For the sealed J11008XP0 reference, Kaydon lists 580 rpm at loads up to 20% of dynamic capacity, and 0.18 N·m maximum no-load torque with standard internal fit and lubricant, at room temperature under 5 lbf thrust. These are conditional reference figures, not unrestricted limits for the supplied LYDL bearing.

Retrofit example: a rotary axis with incomplete spare documentation

A maintenance team may know that a rotary module has a 126 mm housing seat but lack a complete bearing designation. PX11008 is one candidate only after its 110 mm bore and 8 mm width are confirmed against the assembly. Other bearings can share the housing diameter while requiring different shafts or axial arrangements.

Map the available interfaces before requesting a quotation. If disassembly is limited, identify which dimensions are directly measured and which come from a drawing or inference. Mark uncertain values explicitly so they can be resolved before a purchase order is released.

Use the repair opportunity to document the operating duty and the reason the original bearing is being replaced. A replacement intended to address contamination or mounting damage may require an assembly correction as well as a new bearing.

Distinguish a nominal match from a serviceable mounting

Inspect the condition of the seats and retainers separately from the bearing identification. Raised material, fretting, wear or a changed spacer can affect the next installation even when the original nominal size is known. Agree the mating-part acceptance criteria with the machine designer rather than asking the bearing supplier to compensate for an undefined seat condition.

For the axial review, identify the face that locates the rotating component and the parts that provide retention. Record spacer thicknesses and the final cover position. A part that enters the housing pocket can still leave an incorrect axial stack.

For PX11008, recover the intended lubrication and external-protection plan. For PX11008UU, verify seal clearance and the specified grease. Document any closure change explicitly; fitting inside the old housing does not qualify a replacement by itself.

Retain a before-and-after inspection record for the repaired interfaces and the completed axis.

Brand codes and supply designation

Use PX11008 — Open and PX11008UU — Double Sealed for LYDL purchasing. The corresponding KAYDON references are K11008XP0 and J11008XP0, respectively.

KAYDON K means steel construction without seals or shields; J means steel construction with two nitrile seals. X identifies four-point contact, P a standard snap-over separator, and 0 Kaydon class 1 / ABEC 1F. These codes do not certify the LYDL configuration.

Preserve the original maker’s complete marking during identification. CSXU050-2RS is an INA / Schaeffler sealed model with a 127 mm bore, despite the “050” string. NSK’s inch-design NBX codes may include DD for two-sided seals. Neither code can be translated into a PX11008 replacement by matching digits or suffixes.

Close the retrofit with a traceable release record

Agree what the repaired machine must demonstrate before return to service. Use the relevant load and operating sequence, and record the measurement location for accuracy or movement checks. Separate those machine results from the component inspection supplied with the bearing.

Keep the ordered LYDL designation, KAYDON reference, bearing drawing revision and mating-part changes in the spare-parts record. This prevents the next order from depending on a photograph or a shortened handwritten code.

Where only a sample was available initially, retain the approved final drawing as the future purchasing reference. Identify the lubricant and any special internal setting in that record so they are not lost after the retrofit is complete.

PX11008 practical questions

Is a 126 mm housing measurement enough to identify PX11008?

No. Confirm the bore and width as well as the retaining geometry. PX10013 also has a 126 mm nominal outside diameter, but its 100 mm bore and 13 mm width define a different installation. Use all three boundary dimensions and the assembly evidence.

Should a worn sample measurement replace the original drawing dimension?

Not automatically. Record the measured value and sample condition, then compare them with the original specification and proposed supply drawing. Wear or damage can change the observed dimension. Resolve discrepancies before using a sample as the sole manufacturing reference.

How do I tell an integral seal from a machine cover?

Review the removed assembly and available drawings, identifying which component belongs to the bearing and which belongs to the housing. Photograph the parts separately where practical. Do not classify the bearing solely from a view of the complete enclosed module.

Can an oversized fit be corrected by ordering a different internal clearance?

Do not use an unspecified bearing adjustment to compensate for an unqualified mating seat. Measure the interfaces and obtain an engineering assessment of the fit and internal setting together. The accepted combination must be defined on the relevant drawings.

What should the replacement entry say when either closure is approved?

List PX11008 open and PX11008UU double sealed as distinct permitted configurations, with their drawings and any different retainers or lubrication instructions. Record K11008XP0 and J11008XP0 in the corresponding reference fields. A shared housing number should not leave purchasing to guess which bearing to supply.

Compare related installation options

PX10013 is the important same-OD comparison with a different bore and width. The PX12008 / PX12008UU group is the next larger listed 8 mm-section seat and requires its own housing dimensions.
